Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
On behalf of the People Of Acheh Sumatra from the very far east asia, we are all grieving and moarning at what has been described as the worst unprecendented catastrophic flooding disaster ever takes place in Libya which happened on Sunday 10 September 2023 at around 3am, when rains brought by Storm Daniel swelled the Wadi Derna river, which runs from Libya’s inland Akhdar Mountains and burst two dams near the city of Derna.
The disaster has so far claimed around 20,000 lives and 10,000 more are missing.
The good and decent people of Acheh Sumatra would also feel eligible to send deep condolencesto all the affected families from the cities of Derna, Benghazi, Tobruk, Almari and Sousawho have to undergo this appaling and saddening tragic situation. May Allah grant peace and patience to all of them.
We, the people of Acheh Sumatra still have a very close emotional sentiments with the citizens of Libya for their welcoming heart to thousands of our freedom fighters to get the special force military training at some camps located around the outskirt of Tripoly between year 1986 until 1991.
The people of Acheh Sumatra will forever owe ourutmost gratitute and compliment to the great people of Libya. Your kindness and cosy hospitality will never ever be forgotten.
